Research Officer – Advancement Department
The primary responsibilities in this position will be to gather, verify, analyze, record and report information on potential donors in both Canada and the United States, using a variety of sources. You will provide in-depth research and database support to the fundraising team, including maintenance of donor records.
You have an undergraduate degree and two or more years’ experience in research and/or information management. An MLS or an equivalent library/information management degree would make you an ideal candidate. Previous work experience in a not-for-profit fundraising environment would be considered an asset.
In addition to advanced Internet search skills, proficient computer skills in MS Word and Excel and competency using Tessitura, Raiser’s Edge or an equivalent relational database management software are required. A working knowledge of online research sources such as iWave, CharityCAN, WealthEngine or similar databases is preferred. Positive and open-minded, you have strong written and verbal skills, and a keen interest in the arts. You are detail-oriented, self-motivated and have the ability to work independently.
This one year full time contract position is based in the Festival’s offices in either Stratford or Toronto.
