Founded in 2009 by Colleen MacIsaac and Dan Bray, the Villain's Theatre creates bold adaptations of early-modern plays, produce new work inspired by heightened-language texts and challenge their audiences to explore contemporary issues through these decadent and dusty texts, fuelling new ways of exploring our relationships with each other and the world.

Celebrating Nova Scotia's theatre talent

TNS acknowledges that we are in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. We recognize the heritage of this land and its people to express gratitude to those who reside here, and to honour the Indigenous people who have lived and worked on this land historically and presently.
